In the last month or so, I’ve finished a couple of things that I actually remembered to take pictures of.
Two box bags, using It’s a Pretty Modern Life’s tutorial (but Make it Modern’s dimensions). I loved making these! I’m still pretty slow at it, but if I can think of more people to make them for, hopefully I’ll get faster.
Two baby slings (but I only bothered taking a picture of one), using Handmade Adelaide Baby’s instructions. I’m a real sewing noob and bought that cute owl corduroy for the exterior, but it makes it really hard to reposition the sling once my son’s in it since the corduroy clings to whatever I’m wearing. I used the sizing instructions from the tutorial, but I have a really hard time getting my kid into it for the front carry hold. I tried putting Sunshine into it in the hip carry position, and it seems like there’s a lot more room that way, so hopefully I can use it more when he’s older.
My giganto mom bag, based on Oh Fransson’s Margaret Sling Bag. However, since by the time I got around to making the bag the pattern had been retired, I didn’t have the templates so I think my bag is bigger than the original. It fits a ton! My memory is fuzzy, but I think I cut 20.5″ x 19″ rectangles for the sides… I meant for it to be 21″ x 19″, but I messed up. The exterior is Timeless Treasures’ Amelia print and the interior is Robert Kaufman’s A Day in the Life print. The bunny button is from shop4craft’s store.
