What have I been doing with my time? I don’t know! Last week, I managed to finish up some snappy coin purses. Rashida Coleman-Hale’s (I don’t feel like I can just call her by her first name, for some reason) pattern is so cute! It wasn’t super fast for me to make, though, just because of all the hand-sewing. I might have been going a little slower since I was watching Shut Up And Let’s Go while I was doing up the sides — I think I got two sides done per hour. hehehe.

I used heavy duty snaps for the first time. They’re neat! I hammered my thumb once, though. Anyhoo, this one’s my favorite because the teapot’s in the center when you open it up. Mmm, tea!

A couple of weeks ago, I went on a little out-of-print book buying spree, and this is the first thing I made when I got them. I’m not good at taking pictures of bags so you can’t tell, but it’s neat! It’s got two sets of handles that are different lengths for when you want to carry it in your hand or on your shoulder. I cut up a whole yard of fabric to make this, which is rather galling to my inner fabric scrooge, but I’m planning to use the leftover squares to make a crazy version after I make a couple more.

I’m just going to cheat and show you the nice picture in the book so you can see how cool the bag is. 😀

And for my last bit ‘o news, this weekend I got a fun surprise email, and in the end, the very sweet Scarlett featured my Dawnybear potholders on Craft Gossip! O_o Now I get to use this button thingoo!

  2. Congrats on this great news. The potholder is cute!

  3. Those little coin purses are cute! I despise putting in snaps. Your new bag is super fun, too. Great idea about the different straps. Very handy!
